Angie Peréz
Angie Perez is a bilingual, EmmyAward-winning journalist, television host, voice-over artist and radio announcer, with a consolidated career in the U.S. Hispanic market as well as Latin-American television as the official female voice for all Live From The Red Carpet events for E! in over 30 countries in Spanish. Her vast experience, spanning over a decade, covers many news and entertainment branches in media, inside and out of her native Venezuela, having worked with several networks including Telemundo, Univision, Telefutura, Mega TV and America TeVe in the U.S., E! Entertainment Latin America, as well as Venevision, Televen and RCTV in Venezuela. Angie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Universidad Central de Venezuela and a Master of Arts in Television Broadcast Journalism from the University of Miami.
Angie was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2014 and underwent surgery; furthermore, she had radiation therapy to shrink benign but aggressive spine tumours in her spine and a sacroiliac joint fusion in 2016, which allowed her to get closer to God and re-arrange her priorities in life. Angie serves as Director in the U.S. for two non-profit foundations: “Luchemos Por La Vida USA”, which provides treatment for 300 kids and teens with HIV-AIDS in Venezuela (www.luchemosporlavida.org.ve ) and “Misses4Peace”, which unites over 300 former beauty title holders world wide for noble causes, toward overall human welfare (www.misses4peace.org ). Angie is happily married and lives in South Florida with her husband Carlos and their daughter Gabriela.
